Medical Services
On an individual basis, a self performed pregnancy test may be required. A small sample of urine in a collective cup is obtained and the use of a dip stick is used to confirm pregnancy.

A transabdominal ultrasound is performed: This ultrasound is performed by placing a small amount of ultrasound gel on lower abdomen. The transducer is placed on the lower abdomen and slowly moved to get the best images of pregnancy. Several images are obtained including a fetal heart rate. These images are sent to our physician to be reviewed and read. The entire procedure takes approximately 15 minutes. Occasionally there is a need for a follow up appointment and/or a transvaginal ultrasound.

A transvaginal ultrasound may be performed: This technique of scanning requires an empty bladder and you will be asked to empty your bladder. The transducer is introduced into the vagina and slowly moved to get the best images of the pregnancy. Several images are obtained including fetal heart rate. These images are sent to our physician to be reviewed and read. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Occasionally there is a need for a follow-up ultrasound appointment.
